First Quarter Update
It had been five years since the Vision was created. It was time to review progress, and re-prioritize action plans and strategies, taking into account what had been learned in the past five years, and what had changed in the community since the Vision was created.
A new, "First Quarter" Update Team was established. Through their work, and the work of hundreds of individuals, the Vision was reviewed and priorities for the next five years were established. Community input was collected through a survey (hard copy and on-line) and community meetings.
During the First Quarter Review, the community recognized that while there is much to be celebrated, there is still more work that needs to be done. Many of the areas of concern are still with us. The results of this review are a ranking of the strategies that will move Greater Bakersfield closer to its goals.
