�        No more pesticides on the fields around our city

�        No discrimination

�        No more graffiti on the walls

�        No more border patrol/immigration enforcement (deportation in the fields)

�        No corruption in law enforcement

�        More programs to prevent criminals from returning back to committing crimes again.

�        No more increases in taxes (example:  Clinton�s creation of tax deduction for health care for social security retirees

�        To pay more for resources we produce: oil, produce, agriculture

�        Gangs

�        Septic tanks

�        Litter

�        People selling drugs in parks like Virginia Park

�        No drugs

�        Less violent crime

�        Less drunkeness

�        No racist police officers

�        No more 187s

�        Bars. Casinos

�        Police and hospital discrimination

�        Wait in the hospitals, clinics

�        Drug traffic � sale and use

�        No violence in Bakersfield

�        No alleys in this area

�        No prostitution

�        No cantinas

�        Take out the railroad from the city or make more overpasses

�        Don�t want women working on Union Ave.

Our Vision for Downtown

�        Shopping area along the river through downtown

�        Football and Baseball stadium

�        Place for playing volleyball, baseball, football, basketball

�        Water World (park) out by museum

�        Hospital and Cancer Society on 24^th St

�        Disneyland or Magic Mountain

�        Hospital for disabled children

�        Immigration Office and Museum on Truxtun

�        Cultural Center and Culture and Arts between Truxtun and California

�        Animal Museum in E. Bakersfield

�        Bigger Zoo near Lakeview

�        Skating rink W of Beale

�        Clothes factory W of Lakeview

�        Soccer stadium S of California between Union and Chester

�        More basketball courts for playing and watching

�        More public swimming pools

�        Clean up East Bakersfield

�        Needs more grass at Pioneer and Virginia Parks � also clean restrooms

�        Need more lights @ Columbus & Mt. Vernon

�        Call box to police on all major streets

�        Large soccer complex near Columbus

�        Trees and library on 24^th

�        Better landscaping along Hwy 99

�        Free museum on Truxtun between Chester and Oak

�        More post offices, water park, more adult schools for Spanish speaking in S of California

�        Book stores,. Better streets, restaurants, hospital, more stop signs, parks between Brundate and California and Union and Chester.

�        Ballpark, Amtrak, Convention Center on Truxtun

�        High rise parking downtown

�        Big park with zoo @ Central Park, with museum

�        More Boys & Girls Clubs in E. Bakersfield, park, and clean up streets, and more malls

�        Lakeview area:  more police, gas stations, hospital, more houses, better streets, speed bumps in residential areas, grocery store, park and recreation with security

�        Lots more trees
